     Harmful substances in cosmetics  Currently, there are many non-standard cosmetics on the market due to the exaggerated results and relatively low prices, so most people are tempted to buy and use them without studying them carefully. Without us knowing how many of these harmful substances are diluted in the cosmetics around us and how harmful they are to our skin.


Paraben 

     It is a hazardous substance used in skincare products, cosmetics and deodorant roll-ons. It inhibits dirt well, but it is easy to accumulate in the body and quickly penetrate into the bloodstream.


Mercury


     Mercury is a heavy metal found in some cosmetics and creams, especially in products used to whiten the skin. Mercury can penetrate the skin into the body and accumulate in organs such as the brain, kidneys, and liver. Mercury can cause many negative health effects, such as:

- Damage the central nervous system, causing tremors. Muscle weakness, memory impairment, and developmental problems in children

- Damage the kidneys, causing kidney failure.

- Liver damage It causes hepatitis and cirrhosis.

- Causes genetic disorders

- Increased risk of cancer


Hydroquinone

     Hydroquinone is a substance used in cosmetics and skin creams to whiten the skin. Hydroquinone can inhibit the activity of the enzyme tyrosinase. This is an enzyme needed to make melanin. Melanin is the pigment that gives our skin color. Hydroquinone can cause a number of adverse health effects, such as:

- Makes the skin easily irritated and allergic

- Makes the skin more sensitive to the sun.

- Causes blemishes, freckles, and dark spots.

- Increased risk of developing skin cancer



Lead

     It is very common in cosmetics, especially lipstick, which is classified as a prohibited object because if it is absorbed into the body, it will cause pain, severe abdominal twisting for unknown reasons, along with constipation, or blood transfusions.



Steroids


     Steroids are drugs used to treat diseases such as asthma. Steroids can be used in cosmetics and skin creams to reduce inflammation and itching. However, the use of steroids in cosmetics and skin creams can have a number of negative health effects, such as:

- Thinning and weakening the skin.
- Causes acne
- Causes skin infections
- Increased risk of developing skin cancer


Retinoic acid




     Retinoic acid is a derivative of vitamin A used in cosmetics and skin creams to treat acne and aging wrinkles. Retinoic acid can stimulate skin renewal and increase collagen production, but the use of retinoic acid in cosmetics and skin creams can have a number of negative health effects, such as:

- Causes skin irritation and redness.
- Causes skin to dry and peel
- Makes the skin more sensitive to the sun.
- Increased risk of developing skin cancer


Sodium Lauryl Sulphate 

     Found in body cleaning products such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo Sodium sulfate can penetrate into the skin layer up to 5-6 mm, resulting in thinning of the skin, causing toxins. Others can penetrate into the skin and cause allergic reactions.
