5 main food groups

 


     Every day, a person's body should receive beneficial nutrients, consisting of 5 main food groups, so that the body can perform various activities at its full potential. Because getting useful nutrients will make the body healthy. However, if the body does not receive all 5 groups of nutrients as it should, it can cause some abnormalities. There are different nutritional values. If one is missing, it will affect the functioning of various systems in the body.


Main foods group 1: Protein (meat, eggs, milk, nuts)

     Food sources that provide protein such as pork, chicken, fish, Milk, eggs, dried beans, soybeans, green beans, edamame, black beans, peanuts, products derived from nuts such as tofu and soy milk, which proteins are necessary for body function to grow, as well as help build muscles, restore muscles, and repair worn tissues.




Main foods group 2: Carbohydrates (rice, flour, sugar, taro)

     Food sources that provide carbohydrates include starchy foods and grains such as rice, bread, and other foods. Noodles, potatoes, and taro are the main food groups that provide energy, including calcium and vitamins B. If it is a less refined grain such as brown rice, oats, barley, it will be richer in nutrients and dietary fiber helps promote a healthy digestive system, which carbohydrates provide energy and heat, helping the body to make the most of it. The rest of the use can be converted into fat deposits in the body.


Main foods group 3: Minerals (vegetables)

     Food sources that provide a lot of minerals such as  pumpkin,  sweet potato,   lentils, morning glory, gourd, carrots,  kale,  cucumbers,  zucchini, green pumpkin, white cabbage, which is a mineral from these vegetables, is a nutrient that the body needs and is indispensable because it is a component of organs and muscles such as bones, teeth, and blood. Main foods group 4: Vitamins (Fruits)

     The food sources that provide vitamins come from various fruits such as bananas, oranges, papayas, apples, longan, mangosteen, berries, and other fruits. Vitamins can be divided into two categories: water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins.

Main foods group 5: Fats (vegetable and animal fats)

     The food sources that provide fat are divided into saturated fats that are mostly obtained from animals, such as lard, chicken oil, cow oil, cream, butter, cheese, and some plant unsaturated fats such as palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, sesame oil, soybean oil, sunflower seed oil, rice bran oil, safflower seed oil, peanut oil. The benefits of fat help in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, warming the body. It also helps to prevent impacts and visceral concussion.


     Eating all 5 main food groups on a daily basis that is rich in protein, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, and fats to keep the body healthy and get complete nutrients.
