Water


     Water is an inorganic compound that is transparent, tasteless, odorless, and almost colorless. Water is a chemical that is the main component of streams, rivers, and oceans in the world, etc. The water molecule is composed of 1 oxygen atom and 2 hydrogen atoms bonded together by a covalent bond. Water is a liquid at standard temperatures and pressures, but it is found on Earth in a solid state (ice) and a gaseous state (steam). 

Taste and smell

     Normally, pure water is tasteless and odorless, although humans have a unique sense of perception that there is water in their mouths. And the frog can perceive the smell of water. However, water from regular water sources (including mineral water bottles) often contains a large number of solutions that may impart various flavors and odors. Humans and animals have developed senses that allow them to assess drinking conditions. Avoid water that is too salty or too foul.

Water and our bodies

    Water is essential to our lives and is a nutrient that is very important for the body.  Since water is a component of every cell in the body, it helps to remove waste products from the body.  It helps transport digested food to different parts of the body. Helps in regulating body temperature.

The functions of water in the body have several functions, including:

1. It is a large component of cells throughout the body.

2. It is a component of blood  Lymph, bile, digestive juices, sweat, urine, and various fluids throughout the body.

3. It serves to dissolve digested food and spread through the walls of blood vessels in the small intestine into the bloodstream.

4. It acts as an intermediary to bring food and oxygen to the cells and excretes various waste products in the body in various organs such as the lungs, skin, and kidneys.

5. Helps lubricate various organs have good movement and function normally, such as water in the joints, in the abdomen.  in the pulmonary cavity.

6. It is responsible for regulating the body temperature at all times, including refreshing the body.

     If the body is dehydrated or does not receive enough water.  The body will show symptoms such as dry throat, thirst, and may lead to a dry state, which is withering skin, deep eyes, dry tongue, dry mouth, dry throat, and may have a high fever.


Drink water before or after meals?

     Drinking water before or after meals depends on the comfort and needs of the individual. Water is an important part of health care, and drinking water at the right time can have health benefits. As follows:

Drink water before meals:

     Drinking water before meals may help increase stomach satiety. This can reduce the amount of food you consume in your meals.

     Drinking water before meals also helps prepare the body for digestion and helps flush out toxins or residues in the stomach.

Drink water after meals:

     Drinking water after meals helps the body stay hydrated and aids in the digestive process, which may help reduce bloating or gastroenteritis.

       Drinking water after meals also helps the body absorb nutrients better.

     In conclusion,  drinking water before or after meals depends on the comfort and needs of each person. You can drink water according to your preference, but be sure to drink the right amount of water to maintain balance in your body.
